Quick answer: Match the node type to the script's extends (change the node type or the extends line), and when re-typing nodes use the editor's Change Type tool so children and properties survive.

Godot refuses to attach a script to a node that is not (a subclass of) what the script extends. One of the two sides is wrong. Here is how to decide which and fix it cleanly.
