Quick answer: Provide a multi-size .ico file in Application/Icon. Set rcedit path in Editor Settings → Export → Windows.

Export to Windows. Click the .exe in Explorer. Godot logo. Icon path was set to .png; rcedit only embeds .ico.

Without rcedit installed, Godot warns but ships default icon. Multi-size .ico ensures Explorer/taskbar shows correct icon at every scale.

Run Explorer view as Large icons. Custom icon shown. Pin to taskbar: pinned icon also custom.
